Hello everyone.
I had planned to do a lot this week in the Christmas Spirit, but that has not happened because the most horrible heavy cold virus has hit me. I am feeling miserable at the moment.
However, earlier in the week, I was able to slip in a little more cross-stitch and complete this little posy.
While walking around our local area, I noticed that our nearest postbox had a new winter hat, complete with a penguin and polar bear.
Finally, until I am back to myself, I will leave you with some pictures we took of a Nativity celebration we visited in a nearby church.
I especially enjoyed the nativities the children had made, but I also loved the one made out of plasticine, the one made from banana and maize leaves and the Russian dolls. There were 53 different nativity scenes in many forms, but the most remarkable was probably the nativity crafted on a speck of gold displayed in the eye of a needle. Amazing!
Hope all your plans are going well.
Have a good week all x
Oh dear what a nuisance to have a cold just when you want to get busy, I'm joining you as I have one too so haven't done anything over the weekend. Hope you feel better soon. Love the post box topping:)
ReplyDeleteSeems like lots of people are getting really nasty colds just before Christmas. Hopefully we will all be better very soon. The post box topping is lovely and brings a welcome smile every time I see it :-) Have a good week Rosie. Hope you get over your cold quickly x
DeleteSo sorry to hear that you're not well and hope that you are on the mend it seems that any virus we get seems that much worse than usual out immune systems are weak I think. I love the nativity scenes I can't imagine one that small but I would have loved to have seen it. Your cross stitch it lovely. get well soon. x
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda. It certainly does seem worse for a cold than usual. I haven't had one like this for a long time. Hopefully I will be up and about soon. The nativities were all amazing and it was difficult to choose only a few to show. I would have liked to show the teeny tiny one but it needed a very strong magnifier to see it and even then it was still tiny.
DeleteHave a great week and I hope your own plans for Christmas are going well x
There are a lot of germs around just now, and I'm trying my best to avoid them if I can :) I hope you feel better soon. Xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Jules. Best of luck with the germ avoidance. xx
DeleteSorry to hear you're under the weather. I assume you've tested for Covid? Lots of viruses going round now and they take time to get over, so please take care of yourself. What an interesting variety of nativities. I'm still wearing a mask as often as possible to avoid, colds, flu, and whatever else is out there. Cute cross stitch.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I'm just feeling a bit rough at the moment but hopefully all will be well by Christmas. We will just take things as they come .
DeleteThe nativities were amazing and well worth a visit.
Have a good week x
